Product Design, UX Design, UI Design

Life design is a start-up from Netherlands which help people to transform aspirations into reality by setting long-term aspirations and break them down into manageable subgoals and daily habits.

The main feature of the app is AI assistant, which helps users in planing goals, and gamification elements - coins for achivied goals and habits, improving house as a symbol of success.

I joined Life Design team as Product and UX/UI Designer. My main tasks were to form the vision of the product and design it.

UX research and concepts

We started with research exploring the existing products in Play Market and AppStore, features and UX and UI analysing. Based on gathered knowledge, we came up with the concept of the product, which included all planning features, a vivid visual and a refined user experience.

Strategy and process

After first concepts we separate process to 4 parts:

  • UX Design and prototyping (Goals and habits, Daily tasks, Chat with AI, Friends mode, Week progress)
  • UI Design, components library, style guides
  • Test
  • Play Market upload preparing

Following the design process inspired by the Design Thinking methodology:

  • Explore and define: what is the user problem? and how success would look?
  • Ideate: how can we do it? what is the easiest way to do it?
  • Test: how do our customers react and interact with this solution?
  • Conclusion: have we made it? what should we do next?

Strategy and process

Start MVP version and got 500+ downloads in Play Market for first 2 months.
